How do I use Shared Folders?

You can use Shared Folders to share references with your colleagues.  You can create and manage Shared Folders under the Shared Folder section in your Web and Desktop Library.


Create a new Shared Folder:


     1.    Go to your Library
     2.    To create a new Shared folder:
          a.    Select and right click on Shared Folders and select Add Shared Folder, or
          b.    Click ‘Create a new Shared Folder’ in the body

 
     3.    A pop-up window will appear.
     4.    Update the Shared Folder name in the “Folder Name” field as needed.
     5.    Enter the name or the email address of the person(s) in the “Share With” field.
     6.    Click on “Create”.
     7.    An email is sent to the recipient(s). 


Edit Shared Folders titles and add new users to a shared folder:


NOTE:  Editing Shared Folders requires appropriate permissions.


     1.    Go to your Library
     2.    Locate the folder you want to edit.
     3.    Select the folder.
     4.    Right click on the folder name and select “Edit Shared Folder”.
     5.    A pop-up window will appear.
     6.    Update the Share Folder name in the “Folder Name” field if needed.
     7.    Enter the name or the email address of the person(s) in the “Share With” field.
     8.    Click on “Update”.
     9.    An email is sent to the recipient(s).


Add Publications to the Shared Folder:


NOTE:  Adding publications to the Shared Folders requires appropriate permissions.

Delete Publications from Shared Folder:


NOTE:  Deleting publications from the Shared Folders requires appropriate permissions.

Delete the Shared Folder:


NOTE:  Use caution when deleting Shared Folders. You will not be prompted to confirm the deletion. Once deleted, the Shared Folder, including the references, cannot be recovered.


NOTE:  Deleting a Shared Folders requires appropriate permissions.


     1.    Go to your Library
     2.    Locate the folder you want to delete.
     3.    Select the folder.
     4.    Right click on the folder name and select “Remove”.
