Are the journal publishing agreements (for authors) and licensing arrangements for ACS Central Science the same as for other ACS journals?

ACS Central Science authors will follow the same process as all other ACS authors who choose to pursue an open access option. They will sign the ACS’s standard Journal Publishing Agreement when their manuscripts are submitted and then be extended a complimentary ACS AuthorChoice license upon acceptance; there will be no fee entailed for publishing under the ACS AuthorChoice license, although fees for authors who require Creative Commons licenses (CC-BY-NC-ND and CC-BY) will be at $500 for ACS Members and $1,000 for non-members. As with any article published under ACS AuthorChoice, authors may specify that ACS deposit the final published article, the version of record in a repository.
