How were the Editors selected?
The editorial leadership was chosen in a manner consistent with ACS’s proven practices for its highly regarded journals program. The appointments of all Editors-in-Chief of ACS journals are governed by Society bylaws and subject to ACS governance oversight and review. In practice, ACS journal editors are independent, highly respected scientists who are active and widely published researchers and possess a global outlook. ACS believes that the process by which it selects its Editors, by a committee of active researchers from the community, is fundamental to the success of the ACS journal’s program and its ability to launch new multidisciplinary journals that are successful in serving their respective communities.
