How was the Editor-in-Chief selected?

The editorial leadership was chosen in a manner consistent with ACS’s proven practices for its highly regarded journals program. The appointments of all Editors-in-Chief of ACS journals are governed by Society bylaws and subject to ACS governance oversight and review.

  • In practice, ACS journal editors are independent, highly respected scientists who are active and widely published researchers and possess a global outlook. ACS believes that the process by which it selects its Editors, that is by a committee of active researchers from the community, is fundamental to the success of the ACS journal’s program and its ability to launch new multidisciplinary journals that gain a highly impactful following in their discipline.
  • The Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi, and the Sr. Editors and Editorial Board can be found here http://pubs.acs.org/page/acscii/editors.html.
